Public Exhibition - February 2025

Since our public exhibition in December 2024, where we presented our preliminary plans for a battery energy storage project on land north of Killoch Colliery between the villages of Coalhall and Ochiltree, we have been refining the design in response to feedback received and ongoing surveys and assessments.

As part of our continuing pre-application consultation, we held a second public exhibition in the local area to present updated plans for the battery energy storage project, ahead of submitting a planning application later this year.

This exhibition initiated a consultation period run by RES to gather comments on the proposal. The closing date for comments was Friday 7 March 2025. Comments will still be accepted after this date but may not be considered in relation to the design development, please contact us for more information.

Please note that comments submitted to RES at this time are not representations to the determining authority (Scottish Government's Energy Consents Unit). There will be an opportunity to submit representations to the determining authority should an application be made.

All information provided at the public exhibition is available to view below. Hard copies are available on request, please contact us for more information.

We have sought to address common comments raised at the public exhibition in December in these consultation materials. Alongside the below we have produced a Report on Feedback which summarises the feedback gathered from the first consultation and how we have responded to it.
